When I was just out of college, I started a journal that was a series of letters to your dad. At the time, he was just my boyfriend, but I was pretty sure that it was serious. I didn't tell your dad that I was doing this and, because your dad and I dated for a really long time before we got married (that's another story), it ended up being a pretty good compilation of our ups and downs together. Your dad and I have decided that creating something like this would be good for the both of you. You can expect that my entries will include reflections as well as updates around what's going on in your world. Your dad's entries will be more philosophical. I hope one day you will find the advice and thoughts useful and insightful. At least you might have a better idea of why we made some of the choices that we did.
